Silgasket Red
One-part, acetoxy-curing, high temperature resistant RTV red silicone gasket in pressure pack
Silgasket Red is a low volatile, single component, room temperature vulcanising (RTV) silicone gasket sealant. It produces a high-temperature resistant gasket that does not contain solvents and does not shrink. It is resistant to temporary contact to fuels, mineral oils, antifreeze, etc. Pressurized tubes are designed to reach easily difficult position inside the engine limiting the disassembly procedure. The Silgasket nozzle allows the easy control of silicone bead width, with a unique double piston pressurized system allowing for smooth, uniform dispensing from start to finish.
Application fields Designed primarily for flange sealing with good oil resistance and to withstand high joint-movement requirements. For example, stamped sheet metal covers (timing covers and oil pumps). Suitable for all sealing to replace any preformed traditional gasket. Ideal for sealing, bonding, and protecting HVAC, electrical and metal working applications. Adheres to metal, glass, silicone, natural fibre ceramic, and painted surfaces.
